Sudip Giri is an artist with multiple talents. He was an RJ in Kalika FM Chitwan, a black belt in taekwondo and now a renowned pop singer of the nation. His first album 'Canvas' was a big hit and his second album 'Frenz' is gaining popularity these days.

FOOTSTEP TOWARDS MUSIC
I am fond of music from my childhood days but I had not thought that I would professionally take music as my career. But after SLC I started learning guitar and I became more interested towards this field and then I totally devoted my time to music. Further more, I was influenced by the stage performances as well.

JOURNEY FROM SPORTS TO MUSIC
I was engaged with sports from my childhood especially with taekwondo.Unfortunately, I was unable to give continuity to this game because its an attacking game and my leg was factured, so, I moved towards music.

YOURSELF IN COMPARISION WITH OTHER ARTISTS
I change my singing pattern with the changing trend. Most of the lyrics of my songs are tragic. Even I use tragic lyrics in rock music.

REASON BEHIND LEAVING THE BAND, 'OCTAVE-C'
The 'Octave-C' band used to perform in Chitwan. I had completely devoted my life for the band by even sacrificing my study but other band members were unable to give their time for the band. Not only this, there was no freedom in the band for me to do what I wanted to do. So, I decided to start my solo career in music.

FAMILY SUPPORT
I didnot get total family support at the beginning. But my mom and friends always encouraged me. My other family members suggested me to continue with my studies but after glancing at the dedication towards the music, they also supported me.

IMPORTANCE OF MUSIC VIDEO
It is important all over the world as it helps to clarify the contrast words of any song. It is the best way to present the actual meaning of the song through act.

FINANCIAL CONDITION
Till last year, it was really good but this year due to 'Janandolan-2', condition is bad. People were seeking for the peace rather than music. But now, ther is peace in our country and slowly and gradually economic condition is being good.

MEMORABLE INCIDENT
There was an open concert in Chitwan and more than 20,000 audience were present. I sang 'Tutnu Thiyo' and 'Timi Aaja Bholi' but when I sang the second song, the crowd went wild, they came up in the stage and started to dance. Due to this, the whole decoration of the stage was damaged and the sound mixer was also disturbed. This performance is my most memorable incident.

HAS BACKGROUND OF RJ HELPED IN MUSIC CAREER ?
Background of being an RJ has helped me to face the audience. At first, I was scared of facing the audience and used to get shy whenever I face the girls but after being an RJ, I got along with media and it can be considered as a plus point in my music career.

REACTION OF PEOPLE IN PUBLIC PLACE
I am easily recognised by the people in the public place. Sometimes I feel good and sometime I feel like I am loosing my personal life and I don't like this. Actually its not my idea to stay in music video but due to the pressure of music companies I have to stay in the videos. I prefer people recognise me through my voice not by my act.

HAVE YOU EVER THOUGHT THAT YOU WOULD REACH UPTO THIS POSITION?
Yes, I always keep in mind that whatever career I opt must be a success. In taewondo, I was a black belt, in study I was good and in music I am doing well. I always put forward my foots in positive destination.

REMIX TREND
Personally, I do not like remix. Remix is good if one can give justice to the original version and should be able to maintain same popularity. If they cannot do so, it is useless. Remix itself is not bad. It depends on the person who is doing it. But nowadays, DJ's are also involving in this which is really good since they have depth knowledge of the music and remix.

FUTURE OF MUSIC INDUSTRY
If the music industry runs like in todays condition then definately its not going to flourish because these days the company rules and they treat the artist only as a product. But if they change their strategy and make applicable rules then the future seems good.

WHAT ARE YOU DOING THESE DAYS?
These days I am busy with promotional activities of my second album 'Frenz'. I am also busy in concerts and preparing for my next album as well.

RESPONSE FROM 'FRENZ'
Everything is affected by the social, political and economical condition of the country. In the same way, music field is also affected this year.So, in comparision to my first album, second album is not going well but its satisfactory till now.

MESSAGE FOR THE UPCOMING SINGERS
If anyone is coming in this profession then they should come with their original style and music. They should have some training, should know the importance of music and should respect it.
