"A Weathered People" by NayanTara Gurung Kakshapati opens today at Planet Nepal - a festival of the environment and arts taking place from 29th - 31st October.

The exhibition is showing at Manga Hiti and the Patan Museum garden at Patan Durbar Square. With writer Prawin Adhikari, NayanTara visited the Khumbu and Koshi regions to interview people and see first hand how climate change is, if at all, affecting every day life. This series of portraits and landscapes is also being exhibited at the Kathmandu Center of Contemporary Arts in Jhamsikhel from 2nd Nov - 10th Nov and also at Maison Des Métallos in Paris for a month. Planet Nepal is being organized by Alliance Française in Kathmandu, Cultures France and the French Embassy in Nepal.

"This Time," by Kashish Das Shrestha is touring the 7 Bhutanese Refugee camps in Jhapa and Morang from 1st Nov - 4th Nov. Over the last two months, Kashish traveled to 3 cities in America- Baltimore, Atlanta, and Pittsburgh-to study how different resettled communities of refugees from Bhutan are evolving in their new settings. The exhibition is being organized by UNHCR and curated by photo.circle.
