Nepal (Red) won the first Prime Minister Cup Invitational Football Tournament, beating Sri Lankan national team in a fiercely contested final match at Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu, Saturday.

Nepal (Red) beat Sri Lanka 4-2 in the penalty shootout.

The match was decided by penalty shootout as both sides could not score goals even in the added 30 minutes.

Nepal (Red) had entered the final of the tournament defeating JW Thailand in the semis.

Two home teams and national teams of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand and Pakistan had participated in the tournament.
