Nepal lift ACC U-17 Elite Cup, create history

KATHMANDU, Feb 12 - In what turned out to be a pretty one-sided affair, Nepal created history claiming all three age group tournaments of Asian Cricket Council (ACC) after thrashing Malaysia by 10 wickets in the finals of ACC U-17 Elite Cup played in the capital on Thursday.
Nepal romped to victory by 10 wickets at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground reaching the target of 125 runs earlier set by Malaysia.
Nepal reached the target in 23.3 overs.
Nepali openers Sagar Pun and Akash Singh Pariyar scored unbeaten 53 and 65 runs respectively.
Earlier, batting first after winning the toss, Malaysia was bundled out for 124 runs.
Nepali skipper Prithu Baskota claimed three wickets to restrict the Malaysian inning.
Similarly, Rochak Bhatta took two wickets while Avinash Karna, Bhuwan Karki and Pradeep Airee took a wicket each.
Sagar Pun was adjudged the man of the match today.
