Shania Twain Ends Her 14-Year Marriage
Shania Twain and Robert Mutt Lange are no longer together. The Canadian pop diva has ended her 14- year marriage with her husband Robert Mutt Lange. Twain's representative said in a statement on Thursday, May 15, 2008 that the couple is ending their marriage. The statement however gave no reasons for the break up.
Shania Twain married Robert Mutt Lange in 1993, who was 17 years elder to her. The two of them met at the collaboration of the singer's hit album 'The Woman in Me'. The couple has a son named Eja. Lange rarely gave interviews, as a result of which they were hardly seen in public together. Twain was born in Windsor near Toronto. Her birth name was Eilleen Edwards.
Her third album ‘Come on Over’ is the biggest selling album of all time by a female musician as well as the best selling album in the history of country music. Apart from being critically and financially successful, she has also won many accolades including 5 Grammy awards and 27 BMI Songwriter awards. More than 65 million of her albums have been sold world wide including 48 millions in the US alone.
