Iron Man 2 is declared a smash hit

The sequel of 'Iron Man' has hit the theaters and has managed to receive a huge response from the audience. On the first day it has registered a business of $ 7.5million. The movie has been screened in more than 2000 theatres all across the globe.

This movie is inspired by marvel comics. "Iron Man 2" will be played in more than 4,000 domestic theaters. Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow have played the main character in the movie. This is released under Paramount distribution banner.

It is expected that the collection will cross $ 140 million by Sunday.

Warner Bros's "The Dark Knight" posted the biggest opening with its $158.4 million in July 2008. Lots of venues have been sold out in advance of the midnight shows, with online-ticketing services.
