Housefull makes Rs. 52 crore at end of first week

As confirmed by the co-producer of movie, Housefull, it has managed to earn Rs. 52 crore at the end of its first week.

And as the industry people say, it is going to be the biggest opening for Akshay Kumar as well as Deepika Padukone, in terms of first week collection.

Housefull has crossed the earnings of Kambakkth Ishq and Om Shanti Om in terms of collection for the first week. For Akshay, the earlier movies were Welcome and Singh is King. They both crossed the Rs. 70 crore mark each.

But, they say, it is not sure if the Rs. 88 crore mark of Deepika Padukone in Om Shati Om can be beaten at all.

But, the release of Badmaash Company turned out to be a problem for Housefull. As against the normal expectation, Shahid Kapoor starrer has done good business. And it surely gave Housefull the initial hit.

However, with this week not showing much of promising openings, it is expected that Housefull can again catch up.

This week is going to decide whether Housefull be named as just another hit or a super hit.
